UCSF Health has set up a dedicated COVID-19 hotline for our patients: 415-514-7328.

This phone line is staffed 7 days a week, with the following hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you are a UCSF Health patient and have symptoms of COVID-19, we are committed to helping you get tested within 48 hours.

If you think you might have COVID-19, call the hotline to discuss your symptoms BEFORE coming to any hospital or clinic. Do not walk in without an appointment or use online appointment scheduling. If you have a scheduled appointment and have respiratory symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, please call before arriving.

When you call, a nurse will ask you a series of questions to evaluate your potential risk for COVID-19 infection. Depending on your answers, you could be directed to one of these options:

  • A video visit with one of our providers
  • Testing for COVID-19 at a mobile testing location
  • Respiratory Screening Center or the Emergency Department (ED) for an in-person evaluation

If you use UCSF MyChart, there is a coronavirus symptom-checker to get a better idea of what your next steps should look like if you are feeling ill.
